
. Alan Olmos, Assistant Director
Alan Olmos graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, where he studied applied saxophone with Dr. Eric Nestler. Mr. Olmos performed in various instrumental ensembles and chamber groups under the direction of Dr. Nicholas Williams and Mr. Dennis Fisher. During his time in college, Mr. Olmos taught as a marching technician and music sectional instructor at various school districts in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Mr. Olmos is currently working towards his Masters in Educational Leadership at the University of North Texas.
Mr. Olmos was a 3-time All-State saxophonist during high school. He marched euphonium and trombone in drum corps with Genesis (2017) and Blue Knights (2018).
Prior to joining the team at Aledo, Mr. Olmos served as assistant band director at Granbury High School. In his time at Granbury he led his concert and jazz ensembles to achieve consistent 1st division ratings.
His professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and Bill & Melinda Gates Millennium Scholars. When he is not practicing, Mr. Olmos is an avid hiker and world traveler. He is excited to be a part of the Aledo band family!
