
. Alan Olmos, Assistant Director
Alan Olmos earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas, where he studied applied saxophone under Dr. Eric Nestler. During his undergraduate years, Mr. Olmos performed in various instrumental ensembles and chamber groups, guided by Dr. Nicholas Williams and Mr. Dennis Fisher. He also gained valuable experience as a marching technician and music sectional instructor for multiple school districts in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Mr. Olmos completed his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership at the University of North Texas in 2023.
In high school, Mr. Olmos was a three-time All-State saxophonist. He further honed his skills by marching euphonium and trombone with the Genesis Drum and Bugle Corps in 2017 and the Blue Knights in 2018. Before joining the Aledo team, Mr. Olmos served as the assistant band director at Granbury High School, where he led both concert and jazz ensembles to consistent 1st division ratings.
Mr. Olmos is affiliated with the Texas Music Educators Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Millennium Scholars. Outside of music, he is an enthusiastic hiker and world traveler. He is thrilled to join the Aledo band family!
